Black mold is common in areas on where were there is high humidity or in areas with moisture. Usually, they do show up on bathroom shower tiles, grout or floors and even on kitchen backsplashes. Initially, they will start showing up as small spots. But if you left them untreated, they will spread out.
Molds when left for granted do provide health risks at home. They are known to be associated with respiratory response like chronic coughing and sneezing. Other side effects are irritation to the eyes, mucus membranes of the nose and throat, rashes, chronic fatigue and persistent headaches. Tiles and grout do really look unpleasant when black mold does show up, especially if your tiles and grout are using light colored tones. And unfortunately, some commercial products available on the market to remove them uses strong chemicals that could have potential side effects that can harm our health and also damage your tiles and grout when used too much. Here at Able’s Carpet Cleaning Pueblo Colorado, we will give you a guide on how to create your own D.I.Y. mold remover that comes from combining bleach, baking soda and water. You will also need a scrub sponge and abrasive scouring pad. For you to create the solution, you simply have to mix half a litter of water with a teaspoon of baking soda and 3 tablespoons of bleach. After mixing the solution, use the scrub sponge and apply the solution on the areas on where the black mold is abundant. Wait for a few minutes then rub it with the abrasive pad. Once done, rinse the area with water to finally remove the black mold. We hope that this can lessen your tile and grout cleaning worries.
